Tooth Extraction
Although we always try to save every tooth, an extraction is sometimes necessary. Our oral surgeon can remove teeth that are irreparably damaged due to injury or decay or that may need to be removed for orthodontic treatment. In addition, impacted teeth often require removal by means of an oral surgery procedure.
When a permanent tooth is removed, it is important to replace it so that surrounding teeth do not shift out of place. We can also recommend several tooth replacement options, such as a dental implant or dental bridge, that can help preserve dental health and proper bite alignment after tooth extraction.
Dental Implant Surgery
Some dental practices send their patients elsewhere for the oral surgery procedure that is needed to place dental implant posts. However, at County Dental, the procedure can be performed at any or our offices by our oral surgeon. The entire dental implant oral surgery procedure is performed right in our offices while the patient is under light anesthesia.

Non-surgical Treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic
At County Dental, we are proud to offer BOTOX® Cosmetic for both cosmetic enhancements and TMJ treatments. BOTOX® Cosmetic is the only treatment of its kind to be approved by the Food and Drug Administration, and is safe for use in people from 18 to 65 years of age. BOTOX® injections work by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause moderate to severe lines between the eyebrows. For our patients who suffer from TMJ-related conditions, we use BOTOX® injections to relax the muscles in the jaw to reduce clenching and grinding of the teeth.
During a single ten-minute treatment, our oral surgeon will administer a few tiny injections of BOTOX® Cosmetic into the targeted area. Within a few days, a noticeable improvement in the appearance of the skin or in TMJ-related symptoms will be evident and lasts for several months. Marek Nizkiewicz, DDS, MD
Dr. Mark Niznikiewicz specializes in oral surgery and implant dentistry, and works closely with Dr. Fertucci to provide a comprehensive treatment plan designed to achieve optimum results for each patient. Dr. Nizuikiewicz attended the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York and earned an MD license and Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, New York. He also completed residencies in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New York, and at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Northport, New York.
