Family Dentistry - Promoting Health in Rockland, Westchester, and Orange County, New York

As part of our commitment to promoting dental health in the communities in which we serve, we offer Project Smile. This educational self-empowerment program is aimed at teaching proper oral care to children and adults so that they can enjoy a lifetime of healthy smiles and overall well-being. We do this by presenting oral hygiene instruction in our local elementary school classrooms and corporate seminars. Project Smile is just another way in which we bring our commitment to oral health and family dentistry to the communities of Rockland County, Westchester County, Orange County, and all of New York.

Project Smile in the Schools

We bring our Project Smile program to local elementary school classrooms throughout the area. Members of our dental team or trained dental hygiene students present our Project Smile workshop to the students. Each workshop includes:

Project Smile in the Corporate Environment

We recognize how a beautiful and healthy smile can make a good first impression and boost an individual’s confidence, qualities that are important for anyone working in the corporate environment. For this reason, we offer Project Smile seminars to businesses and corporations. Our dental professionals present a workshop for businesses that highlights the importance of caring for your health, appearance, and smile. A PowerPoint presentation is included that stresses proper dental care and features information about smile enhancements, such as teeth whitening, Invisalign® orthodontics, and porcelain veneers, that can enhance self-esteem and confidence.

How does my diet impact my dental health?

The risk of periodontal disease, also known as gum disease, can be reduced by eating a balanced diet and by maintaining a healthy immune system. A healthy body aids in resisting oral and dental infections.

Try to keep the consumption of sugar low, especially the kinds that stick to your teeth. Children sleeping with a baby bottle in their mouth increase the risk of tooth decay. Sensible eating habits and a balanced diet, regular and efficient tooth brushing with fluoride toothpaste and flossing, coupled with regular medical and dental checkups will reduce dental disease. Our dentists can also assist you in your effort to prevent dental decay.
